Mumbai –local student Harmeet Suchdev was informed by a group of concerned bystanders Monday that it was the year 2010 and the questionable trend of putting ones collar up ended at least five years ago. Local artist Varun was the first to notice Harmeet following the outdated fashion, and felt obligated to approach him to confirm “he knew what year it was.” After receiving confirmation Harmeet knew it was 2010, Varun and the crowd that had gathered to witness the intervention gently explained that “a few American douche bag frat boys” created the “collar up” fad and   although most Indian actors and cricket players still “pop” their collars, they normally adopt trends a decade after they hit the mainstream anyway. A distressed Harmeet was advised that if he wanted to follow a cliché, outdated trend, wearing aviator sunglasses could maybe be less embarrassing (although not by much).
