Raipur – Maoist leaders in their Indian stronghold of Dantewada were shocked to discover that Mao Zedong, the man whom there movement is named after, was actually a terrible person who was responsible for the deaths of millions of people. Maoist leaders researched Mao for the first time Sunday, and were shocked to realize the man they are named after caused huge famines in rural China due to his backward economic policies, not to mention destroying much of China’s cultural heritage during his cultural revolution. “Turns out he was a pretty bad guy” remarked a solemn Maoist ‘Raju’; “We might have to change our name and branding strategy”. When asked what other names the group was considering, Raju inferred the group could just go by Naxalite, or pick another common communist group name such as Leninist, “He wasn’t to bad was he?”
